Imagine lying on a tropical sandy beach infront of a baby-blue ocean with a cold beverage in your hand and the soft ocean wind hitting you as topless women walk by......SEAL training is the complete opposite of that.

Imagine two to three mile timed runs, on top of running miles back and forth everyday to get to the chow hall, one to two mile ocean swims in what are considered shark infested waters, doing over a thousand flutterkicks and pushups while being sprayed in the face with a hose that emits freezing water, doing so many push-ups on rough concrete that the friction scrapes off your skin on your tailbone, being thrown into a pool with your ankles and wrists tied and expected to bob for 30 minutes followed by a 50 meter underwater swim, then its off to a little "cold water conditioning" where you and your classmates wade into the surf zone to their waist line, then sit down with arms linked. Mind you that the water in San Diego never gets above 68 during summer months and 58 during winter. "Cold water conditioning" can also sometimes include doing situps in the water while holding a telephone pole or at times running with them. Imagine running everywhere with your classmates with an inflatable boat on your head(the friction will also leave you with a bald spot) then its into the freezing water to try to land your boat onto sharp jagged rocks in "night rock portage," then being thrown back into the pool with full dive gear on and then viciously being thrown around like a rag doll and will have all of your gear and tanks torn from your body and your hoses tied in outrageous knots, did i mention more running to the point where it will leave your inner thighs with raw open sores from all the friction recieved from running and being sandy, you'll spend so much time awake and in the water and be so bruised and beat up that you will look like a bloated chinese man who take a metal pipe to the face. I won't even mentioned what they do at Camp Billy Machen, where "nobody can hear you scream."

Suffice it to say, BUD/S is a kick in the nuts. ;)

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://tr.im/gQPOV

While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

SEAL is the hardest and longest training in the world. It is even difficult to get selected, and you must already be in the Navy.

I didn't go but, my friend Louis did. He said that it is indescribable. The physical part is all mind over matter. The mind part on the other hand seems to be the hard part.

Extremely intense. If your clostrophobic it's not for you. If you enjoy long runs (10 miles a day) then it is for you.

Here you go straight from the official US Navy site vs. 'man its tough as hell' or 'It sucks' talk. Do your research, train up and talk to a recruiter:

By law, only men are eligible to apply for the SEAL program. After joining the Navy, you must:

Minimum requirements:

Meet specific eyesight requirements.

Meet minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score.

Be 28 years old or younger.

Be a U.S. citizen.

Pass a diving physical examination.

Complete the Physical Screening Test Requirements. The program is as follows:

Swim 500 Yards within 12:30

Rest 10:00

42 push-ups within 2:00

Rest 2:00

50 sit-ups within 2:00

Rest 2:00

6 pull-ups (no time limit)

Rest 10:00

1.5 mile run within 11:00

Pass a Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALS (BUD/S) physical fitness screening test in Boot Camp and in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) in order to qualify for a SEAL contract.

If you want to join the Navy and take the SEAL Challenge, Locate a Recruiter.

Naval Special Warfare Training - Following basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL, and the NSW Preparation Course, Great Lakes, IL, you will begin Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training in Coronado, CA. This six-month course of instruction will focus on physical conditioning, small boat handling, diving physics, basic diving techniques, land warfare, weapons, demolitions, communications, and reconnaissance.

First Phase (Basic Conditioning) - 7 weeks - First Phase trains, develops, and assesses SEAL candidates in physical conditioning, water competency, teamwork, and mental tenacity. This phase is eight weeks long. Physical conditioning with running, swimming, and calisthenics grows harder and harder as the weeks progress. You will participate in weekly four mile timed runs in boots, timed obstacle courses, swim distances up to two miles wearing fins in the ocean, and learn small boat seamanship.

The first three weeks of First Phase will prepare you for the fourth week, better known as "Hell Week." During this week, you will participate in five and one-half days of continuous training, with a maximum of four hours sleep total. This week is designed as the ultimate test of one's physical and mental motivation while in First Phase. Hell Week proves to those who make it that the human body can do ten times the amount of work the average man thinks possible. During Hell Week, you will learn the value of cool headedness, perseverance, and above all, TEAMWORK. The remaining four weeks are devoted to teaching various methods of conducting hydrographic surveys and how to create a hydrographic chart.

Second Phase (Diving) - 8 weeks - Diving Phase trains, develops, and qualifies SEAL candidates as competent basic combat swimmers. This phase is eight weeks long. During this period, physical training continues and becomes even more intensive. Second Phase concentrates on combat SCUBA. You will learn two types of SCUBA: open circuit (compressed air) and closed circuit (100% oxygen). Emphasis is placed on long distance underwater dives with the goal of training students to become basic combat divers, using swimming and diving techniques as a means of transportation from their launch point to their combat objective. This is a skill that separates SEALs from all other Special Operations forces.

Third Phase (Land Warfare) - 9 weeks - Third Phase trains, develops, and qualifies SEAL candidates in basic weapons, demolition, and small unit tactics. This phase of training is nine weeks in length. Physical training continues to become more strenuous as the run distance increases and the minimum passing times are lowered for the runs, swims, and obstacle course. Third Phase concentrates on teaching land navigation, small-unit tactics, patrolling techniques, rappelling, marksmanship, and military explosives. The final three and a half weeks of Third Phase are spent on San Clemente Island, where students apply all the techniques they have acquired during training.
