I didn't list any previous jobs I have had on my paperwork before I went to MEPS. My recruiter knows that I have worked before but I have never been at a job longer than 2 months. Most were 2 week jobs so I didn't list them. My MOS is 35F and it requires a top secret clearance. When I went to MEPS and filled out my paperwork for the clearance, I didn't list my jobs because they weren't on the other papers. I was just wondering if when they actually run my clearance, if they will find the jobs and what will happen for me not listing them.

They will find EVERYTHING and they will want to know why you didn't list all your jobs.

Things have sure changed since I was in . I took all those silly as* test at the recruiters office , he called in a couple of days and told me what I was qualified for , how many years enlistment was required for each , where AIT was for each , and as each required security clearance (s ) he handed me a form authorizing a background check and the next day my happy butt was on the way to the AFEES ( armed forced examination and entrance station ) , I believe it's called MEPS these days. During basic they ran the background checks , folks back home said they ( FBI did them back then ) were sure a bunch of nosy as* city slickers. Anyway it all worked out I was given a Top Secret,Cryptologic, Category 3 Communications Intelligence clearance which with it and 25 cents a person could buy a cup of coffee. All of this was back in 1969.

If you didn't list them, be ready to be adjudicated. That's where they call you in and you'll have to explain why you didn't list the jobs. When you fill out the SF86, they expect you to list all of your jobs or any periods of unemployment during the previous 15 years, which is standard for a TS.

Likely they will send back the forms, and ask for more details.

Depending on the clearance (plain TS, or one of the compartmented ones), they want EVERYTHING. I've even seen it when they wanted the 2 months between elementary and high school accounted for: when you are 13.

They will ask you why you didn't list them, realize your just a dumb kid and run it again.

Worse come to worse you will have to be interviewed by some guy. I didn't fill out something right for mine and got interviewed by an "Agent Coleston." An agent of what? I don't know, I didn't ask. We just went into a room alone and he asked me some questions and that was that I got my clearance.

Probably CID, but who knows or cares.
