You get paid on the 1st and 15th, unless the 1st or 15th falls on a weekend or Federal Holiday, then you get paid the work day before the weekend or holiday.



For example, the 1st and 15th of August 2009 are both on a Saturday, you will get paid the Friday before the 1st and 15th.

Like most others have said, the 1st and 15th of the month. Before people go off and get all mad and make 10 additions, I just enlisted and I WAS NOT given the option of once a month. They told me I would get paid on the 1st and 15th. So the Army apparently does not give out the once a month option anymore.



PS: Bi-weekly means every other week. Some months have 5 weeks. If you got paid bi-weekly, then you would end up getting paid 3 times in those months and it would throw off the 1st and 15th schedule.



And give me a thumbs down because you don't know what you are talking about.



ADDITION: Since I enlisted in the Army at the beginning of May, wouldn't they have given me the option as to when to get paid? If you read what I am typing I said MEPS TOLD me at processing that I got paid on the 1st and 15th. When I turned in my 1199A to my recruiter, he also said 1st and 15th. Never once did anyone give me the OPTION to do it. If the Army gives this option to all soldiers, wouldn't you assume that they would have given me the same option? Hmm?

It has been the 1st and the 15th for Decades...

If those days fall on a weekend or holiday...

It is the Day Before...

go up around those days...even on Base...

Yep we get paid on Wednesday 1 July 2009 then on 15 July 2009.



Every 1st and 15th you will get paid. Money will be directly deposited into your checking or savings account.



EDIT: Those who come in now, well at least for the Army, no longer have the choice of getting paid once a month, it will be bi monthly (I didn't say bi weekly, I said bi monthly which means 2 times a month)

Paydays are the 15th and 1st of each month or the 1st of the month (if you chose the once a month option) unless it is a holiday or weekend then it will be paid right before that. As the 1st is not a holiday or on a weekend, then the pay is in your account on the 1st. If you have a bank or credit union that pays it earlier then it is up to them when to release it. So don't expect it until the 30th at the earliest, but more likely the 1st.



Military is NOT paid bi-weekly, if that was the case then there would be 26 paydays not 24.



They do still offer the once a month option, it was suppose to stop but they received enough requests that it was kept as an option if you have it. Those that are coming in might not be given that option in any branch.

(AF got rid of that a few years ago.... EVERYONE gets paid twice a month, whether they like it or not! Much more efficient!)

Depends on how you have it set up. Either monthly or bi-weekly..

Bi-weekly is 1st & 15th of every month.

Monthly is the 1st of the month..



Now if you have USAA Banking, you get paid a day before everyone else, and if the 1st or 15th is on a holiday or a weekend you will get paid the day before. Hope that helps



ADDITION: Correction to that last post, Soldiers STILL DO have the option to get paid on the 1st or on the 1st and 15th.
