Question:
Will recruiters start calling my house, when I fill out the "More Information" link on the USMC's website?

I would like to receive a booklet or something in the mail to receive more information on the Marne corps. If I go on the USMC's website and click on the "request" more information link and put all my contact/address information in there..... Will some recruiter start calling my house or start coming my house (a few years back a army recruiter was going to all the recent high school graduates homes in the neighbored, trying to recruit them)..

I just would rather call the recruiting office when i'm good and ready and I do not want someone calling me..... I would like to call first.

Yes and no. They may make a call but the Military is making a cut to the force right now , so i would not expect heavy recruitment attempts.

This also depends on many variables.

Call first (Recruiters officer) , and say "Hey , i have a quick question to ask you if you have a moment. I cannot join yet the military yet (Be sure and say why) , but i would like information regarding "Your issue" for future reference".

Something like that. He may offer you to come to the recruiting station , but he isnt going to beg you. Just call them , and use something along the lines i mentioned.

The packet is the same information on their website.

You will get a call. It contacts the nearest recruiting station. If you want to talk to them set up an appointment. The website should "prescreen" you already. If you aren't qualified they won't waste their time with you. If you are under 17 you are wasting their time.

Don't give them a phone number... or give them a fake one.
