Question:
Question about being flagged for pt failure.?

I have a pt test on record from May. I had pt tests since then, but the one from May is the one on my ERB. I took another pt test in October (5 months later) and it was a diagnostic, but I didn't pass. Then about a week after that pt test I was given a profile. On October 28th, my Squad leader came to me with a Flag, and told me that I needed to take a pt test so I wouldn't have to sign the flag. I asked him why, since it was only a diagnostic, he said it was because I didn't have a current record pt test on file. But as far as I know, you only need one every 6 months, correct me if I am wrong. So anyway, I never signed the flag, and I am still under the impression that I took a diagnostic, not a record. And I checked my ERB yesterday, and I have been flagged. I guess my questions are: Can they just decide to change my diagnostic to a record because they felt like it? And, Can they flag me without me signing it?

You need to take a PT test once a cycle (every 6 months). If you didn't take (and pass) a PT test this cycle and you were not excused from doing so, then it is considered a failure.

Your squad leader is correct about not having a PT test on file. Every October marks a new fiscal year, part of which includes the need for a new record PT test. Even if you took a PT test September 30th, you would need to take another in October. You're likely flagged for that reason, nothing to do with failing the diagnostic.

If its possible, you can see if there is an alternate event depending on what your profile is for.

I'm not too sure how the Army works on this but as a retired Marine we put those on run for lunch program. It could be short or long just depends on what the problem was. A fat body longer or until the was at required weight, run drops until they could pass. Until then the person was not promoted or transferred. Often times after page 11 and still non compliant busted. If it kept up admin separation and that does not look good might be an RE 3 code. But an RE 1 is a lot better. Just begin until I get tired in the end you will be a much better person. Now we also had too take into consideration females could be pregnant guys on the other hand could not use that. If they did that would be a case for the medical books.

Put your big girl panties on not those things and hit the gym get in shape.

Stop trying to fight the system..get yourself in shape..stop using temporary profiles...and pass the PT tests. You will be a better person.
