The Mexican military is obviously not as strong as the U.S military. Or Russian or Chinas. But it has a very strong military. Since it's a peaceful country as in not having war with other countries not the drug war. They don't buy tanks, aircraft or even helicopters. In the Americas. The strong military goes
1-U.S
2-Canada
3-Brazil
4-Mexico
Mexico's Economy is as good as Brazil. And Example, they were to go to war with Brazil. For every 10 aircraft Brazil buys Mexico would buy 8 or 9. For every 50 tanks Brazil gets, Mexico would get 45.
But yes. If the U.S were to invade Mexico. Mexico would go out on a shopping spree for the latest either, Russian or Chinese tanks, Aircraft and i would guess Warships but not so much since Mexico has a pretty strong Naval Armada today as it is. But here are the facts.
Current Mexican armed forces are composed of some 255,000 professional,
combat-ready troops and approximately 300,000 reserve forces, with a total
estimated number of 555,000 troops. It is the 25th largest army in the world.
Also, according to some American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) estimates,
the Mexican government would be able to mobilize some 38,257,000 troops, from
male Mexicans ages 18-49. Of them, some 19 million would be fit to enter the
armed forces.
