Questions about mailing FROM an APO to the US?

Our family is stationed in Germany and I had a few questions about sending mail back to the United Staes....

- When mailing a letter, do I just use regular US postage?
- Will our CMR (Post Office) carry the "if it fits, it ships" boxes, and do the same rates apply as sending it in the United States?

Thanks for any help! =)

Yes the same rates apply from an APO it is like mailing from New York, I use to live in germany and the APO AE works just like you are in the states except for the fact, it takes longer to get your mail in and out of the country.

I shipped thing before from APO, not sure about the postage, but Im sure that "if it fits" rule doesnt apply, You may have to go to the Local Post Office on Post to mail it off anyway.

APO's are treated as continentail US rate. So no different that mailing package from florida to new york. Same postage to and from.

You have to use the bases post office and they have special rates for service personal and their families. It is like going to a post office in the US.
