I am going to hold a fund raiser, and I want to buy some items to send to the troops in Iraq. However I don't know what to send or where to go to get an adress and maybe some support materials for my event. I am a small business owner and basically want to donate all the profits of one day a week. Hs anyone ever donated? Or, does anyone know any websites or who to contact?

My best advice would be to go to www.americasupportsyou.com and click on Homefront Groups. There, you will find the SO SO SO many ways you can support the troops. There are scholarship programs, ways to donate frequent flyer miles, family support programs, care packages, entertainment for troops (probably USO), computer assistance...and the list goes on and on. Depending on what you want to do with your money, I GUARANTEE there is a program out there that you can help with.

Thanks for caring and I hope you find what you are looking for there!

My husband is currently overseas. If you would like the address to his unit just email me and I'll give it to you :)

If you have any questions about sending stuff overseas feel free to ask as well.
