This word is used in Black Hawk Down when all of the helicopters are taking off. They say "all units are Irene".
Just wondering, that's all.

Darsh is all over that one, it means Daniel F is the man. Irene totally means "Ready," yup. Right on. You better be Irene for a beatdown at basic if you're going to try to lie to people on Y!A like this.

This would be a code-word that was based on a unit SOP.
In another unit that code-word can mean something else entirely.
