Don't let them talk you into an open contract. If your MOS is not available, go home.

Slots open up almost every other week so as previous answers state, dont sign the dotted lines and dont swear in. I'm happy that you're interested in the same MOS job as me. I would presume you're going into the army...

First thing to do, look at your recruiter directly in the eyes and ask him these lines, "Is 68D available? Since I hear that slots are filled, could you get me on the waitlist before I go for my physical/medical evaluation?"

If your recruiter asks you why... tell him, "I am confident I am made for that MOS. If you wont take a minute to look if reservations could be made for me, then I guess the army just doesnt want me, someone who is dedicated to becoming a 68D."

LOL You are going to get what they want to give you.

Don't let them tell you MP means operating room specialist.

Like Thomas said, don't swear in until they have given you what you want.

And if it is air force, don't be suprised if they train you for your job and you end up doing something else, because they'll have:

operating room specialistA

operating room specialistB

operating room specialistC

operating room specialistD

operating room specialistE

when you get to boot camp, and they'll send you to operating room specialist tech school and you may be the guy doing some odd jobs for the person who is actually performing the operating room specialist job.

Don't swear in or sign the contract. Because otherwise your stuck with that MOS! Don't let them talk you into signing in and then they'll switch your MOS. If it's not written in the contract is as if they never said it. That's true their quota and requirement change all the time so just wait and then go back to check it it's available then.

there is purely approximately NO hazard there is not infantry slots attainable. in case you could sign in for a astounding MOS interior of infantry, i could watch that they did not purely positioned you in as universal infantry... that your MOS is stated for sure and precise. in the adventure that your recruiter is doing his activity, each and all the place of work work would be achieved earlier you get to MEPS and there is not any questions approximately this.. in spite of the actuality that i've got heard thoughts of the folk at MEPS switching issues up. purely verify you study the MEPS version of the place of work work you sign VERY heavily... do not enable them to tension you into purely signing it... it truly is the coolest paper... so be certain it particularly is appropriate!

you have two options here....the first, take the job they offer you..then have your recruiter send up a DAR (dep action request) form to switch your mos. and eventually you will get it, if not you can still back out, do not letthem tell you anything different. the second option is to tell them if i do not get this MOS i am not interested, thank you, have a nice day

Wait a week and go back, don't just settle for whatever they offer. Their requirements (quotas) change all the time!

if your line scores are not high enough its not possible to get you a waiver. if they are, most likely they will tell you no slots are open. you have to fight for it

You just walk away and don't sign anything.

But don't expect your recruiter to take you back to meps anytime soon.

You would basically have to then go talk to another branch's recruiter.

because your recruiter, would just ignore you for wasting his time and move on to other recruits.

If the job you want does not pop up on the computer..........walk away. I bet that career counselor finds what you want soon enough........
