The eleventh Day of the eleventh month at the 11th hour the war in Europe (War to end all wars) and the guns stopped firing WWI ended. Also a famous poem: About the poppies on the Field of Flanders. All veterans are hero's. Some gave all, all gave some. Pick anyone who has been there. Most don't talk about it much. (I know that I don't)

Get your dates right, nimrod! Veteran's Day is Nov.11. My military hero is my Dad. He was a nose gunner, bombadier in B-24's over North Africa, Germany & Italy during WWII. He completed 50 missions, 2x as many as those guys on the Memphis Belle.

Thomas E. Creek, LCPL, US Marines, Medal of Honor recipient in vietnam. He jumped on a grenade to save the lifes of his Sergeant and several of his buddies. A TRUE AMERICAN HERO! I would also say that all who serve, have served with honor are AMERICAN HEROS.
