You can marry a foreign national.

You can marry a foreign national if you have a TS/SCI.

If you are considering marrying a foreign national, your security manager should already be aware of the relationship since it was frequent contact with a foreign national outside of official duties.

INS doesn't have anything to do with it.

To ensure your clearance isn't affected, you will need to work with your security manager and S-2 to make sure they know the situation and that you are being upfront about it. They may require additional paperwork for a background check. They may request information from the other country's security service.

This has nothing to do with INS at all, this has to do with your job in the military.

The only time you cannot marry a foreign national is if you have the highest clearance rating there is. Your job is in crypto, for example. That is one of the rules that is explained to you while you are in school, training. If you don't have this security level then you can marry a foreign national as long as you do it the proper way. Meaning you go to the command first, get permission, get all the necessary paperwork done, etc... If you do get married before getting permission your clearance can be taken away and you can be reassigned.

Not always true. It may affect your clearance yes. Im married to a foregin national and I still have my clearance, it can make things a little complicated. It all depends on what type of clearance you have or what you need. The best thing to do is talk to your security officer.

The Navy Sailor thing is True...

If you marry a NON US Citizen you will lose

your "Security Clearance"...

You must have read what I posted earlier...

Take it to Heart...

It is all TRUE...No BS...

No matter what anyone else says here...

Most have never been in the Military...

I have seen Hundreds of these Marriages end

in Divorce just as soon as they get their Permanent "Green Card"...

It has nothing to do with the INS. You are authorized to marry anyone you want from any country, per US law.

One of my best friends is in the Army and he married a German national and brought her here to the US.
