Do you need to have taken chemistry in High school to become a 68w, ive taken my asvab and i qualify for it, but i took ipc (intigrated physics and chemistry), and im worried my recruiter is trying to screw me, cause i told him that i would wait.

Depends on whether you want to make corn whiskey or rye whiskey.

No MOS requires any additional qualification except for the proper eligibility to actually enlist and the qualifying score on your ASVAB. So in theory, the only thing you need to land 68W as your MOS is your high school diploma, a qualifying ASVAB score, and the documents you need to enlist. You do not need to have taken certain courses in high school or college to enlist as a 68W: they will teach you everything you need to know as a medic at AIT. The only exception I can think of that may disqualify someone from a specific MOS might be if they don't have a driver's license for an MOS that requires vehicle handling (88M, motor transport operator, for example), or if they don't have the proper security clearance for something that requires higher level clearance. In your case, you don't have to worry about any of those courses for 68W. Good luck!

I hate recruiters, I was a 68w and I scored a composite 115 on my asvab and went straight to training. watch out
