My husband is going to be going to Pensacola for A school for a month then going to San Diego. I found a really nice web site with info about Pensacola. Every site that says that it is for San Diego is down or messed up. Does anyone know anything about the school or a web site that actually works? He will be in the aviation department. He is an AW. Thanks for any help!

AW? Most likely that school is in Coronado. You can goggle for Naval Base Coronado or Naval Air Station North Island.

it's most likely not an A school, but a C school. all aviation A schools are in Pepsicola, but the C schools are scattered.

Just means that he will be learning about a specific piece of gear. Lots of hands on type stuff.

It sounds like Avionics 'A' school. I went to that school at NAS Millington, TN. It was later moved to P'cola. If that is the school, it is really great training and a top job.

Congrats.

I was an east coast Marine and never served on the west coast other than going to Nav and Crypto schools. I hope you enjoy it.
