Question:
Is AIT in between basic and ocs in the army?

If so, I'm confused because my paperwork says there is only 3 or 4 weeks between the time i graduate basic and go to ocs, which isn't enough time for MP AIT. Ive asked my recruiter but I honestly think he doesn't know, which on a side note is messed up. I'm in the army reserves if that changes anything. What will I be doing in that limbo time?

If you enlisted for OCS you will not go to AIT guy

What purpose would it serve?

You go from BCT to OCS

If you have lag time in between you'll either return home until you go to OCS or you'll report early to OCS and "black bird" where you'll do work details for the OCS Cadre until OCS starts

Being that you're a Reservist you'll most likely return home so they don't have to waste money paying you to push a broom and unpack boxes for a month

How your Recruiter doesn't know this is beyond me

mp's do not go to basic

they go to OSUT-- which combines basic and AIT into one course

between, you will be doing details like mowing grass, waxing floors, raking leaves
