im an MASA (master at arms e-2) in the navy with a year in and have recently realized,
im a marine all the way. the squid life is not for me, i know the obvious answer to the question which is wait 4 years, get out and enlist then but i would like to know if there is any other way to go about doing it? because after 4 years ill be e-4 and that's one hell of a pay cut. i would also like to know if ill have to start out as an e-1 again or if they'll let me keep e-2...please only helpful answers thanks

Yeah yeah what ever i was pissed of though you can switch over. Your salary will probably drop significantly. But yeah go for it and just ask a C.O. However you might have to do 4 years in the marines even if you have switched over after a year of service. Although i think marines are payed less. Dude just ask around im pretty sure the navy has someone that deals with this. Good luck

yeah like the other douche said early exit program.

you have to serve the full 4 year contract. And getting from one branch to another branch is pretty dang hard, but i also think the Marines dont take prior service

no. you have a contract in the Navy that you are required to honor. besides.. the Marines do not as a rule take prior service any more.
