I already took ASVAB and got the following scores: AFTQ 67, GT 109, CL 110, MM 103, and everything else was above 100 but less than 110.. Basically I took the test to see which subjects I had to improve on in order to get a better qualifying score.. but now my recruiter has told me that I can't retake the test with the sole purpose of increasing my scores.. My question would be if this is true.. I didn't even open a book before going to take the exam and I feel like if I prepare myself I'd have had better scores = better job offers.. I'm 28 high school graduate and female.. thanks

It all depends on if you've been to MEPS yet or not. If you have not then your recruiter is full of it, you do have the right to retake the ASVAB.

No sir he isn't!! Surprise, shock, it's infrequent however he's being sincere. You can take it as in many instances as you desire, the seize you regularly need to wait 6 months among scan and in case your rating is going down any in which, you're alas caught with that new rating. Good success, I might research up if I had been you!! Taken the ASVAB greater than as soon as, cross me my rankings all went up a minimum of 10 to fifteen pts!! The ASVAB isn't a go or fail scan, this is a placement scan for jobs are open to you, it isn't just like the SAT's. The most effective method to "fail" is to attain like a 25 total. A larger rating simply opens up extra profession offerings.

You have to wait 30 days before retaking the test a first time, 30 days for a second and six months between tests after that. There's no limit to how many times you can take the test, but once you meet that minimum score, you cannot retake the test.

yes that is true. you qualify to enlist as it stands so they will not spend the money letting you take it again and possibly scoring lower.

the LATEST score counts so you could end up scoring yourself out of eligibility to enlist in certain jobs.
