Question:
Is it ok for civilians to wear military-like patches on non-uniform clothing (i.e. shirts, jackets, etc.)?

I just bought a button-up camo shirt from a store in the mall, but it has an obvious sergeant insignia patch on the sleeve (but sewn upside-down). It s obviously not military clothes. I simply like military-camo style clothing, but since I respect our veterans, I don t want to offend them or anything by keeping the patch.

And opinions on other patches in general? (not including rank, name, unit etc since I know you should take those off)
Thanks!

As long as you are not trying to impersonate a member of the military, especially an officer, it's OK. If you want to respect the VETs, don't wear it at veteran functions. Don't wear it on military bases.

If it was a problem then it wouldn't be available for you to buy especially at a store. It's just a patch
