3 NAVY BASIC/BOOT CAMP QUESTIONS!?

i was one of my recruiters last recruit back in febuary, then i got passed to another recruiter, didn't graduate basic, so i had to do summer school for a little so he let me do school before PTing me a lot, then i graduated when something happened to him that "there not obliged to talk about" theeenn passed to another recruiter who is now the only recruiter there, because the other that was there got bumped up to chief select, so my recruiter now leaves me in the dark for everything my whole second DEP meeting was a few weeks ago 3 weeks before i leave, i sucked at that test you have to pass before you leave for basic so he said I'll come get you every day the next two weeks to work you out to build you up, which i was fine with, then he also said i need you in here so we can go over everything you need to know before you leave(i have no car so he always gets me, and knows thats the only way i get there) so i sat around in my house all ready in running shorts and shoes waiting for him to come, surprise! never showed up once.
i leave Friday or Saturday(no idea, hes left me in the dark)
still haven't seen him since weeks ago but these are my four basic questions
1, what happens if i don't pass that mandatory test this week?

2, the school said it will take a few months for my diploma comes in and the navy already said they wont accept these papers saying i graduated/got all my credits.

3, last i knew i was 4 pounds over my weight class.

4,i am flat footed, should i wait until After basic to say i would like inserts, or say it during "P week" and risk them discharging me?

in the worst and best case scenario what are possibilities that can happen for all scenarios?


and if it helps at all I'm in Avionics for AV (which branches to AE and AT) and scored a 64 on my ASVAB, passed my physical and all.

You really should talk to the Navy personell about this. Recruiters lie thier asses off so you should call a navy 1-800 number & ask questions but don't say that you're a recruit already. Just ask and see what they say.



Your recruiter could be buying time by making you wait when you really don't need to. I joined the navy with a GED, took the asvab and went ot basic training 2 weeks later. It was quick & simple, this is back in 2000. I didn't need to PT or anything with the recruiter, that's a waste of time if you ask me.



Do what I did, I told my recruiter to send me off as soon a possible or I'll change my mind & never go. That motivated him to ship me out in 2 weeks. You're not officially in the Navy until you finish basic training. Any time before basic training is over, you can quit, even in the middle of basic training, it just takes some weeks to process out durring boot camp.



Since you're going to Navy boot camp (RTC) Great Lakes memorize this cadence:



1 2 3 4, 2 3 4, 1 2,,,, 1 2 3 4... 1 2 , 3 4, 1 2,,,, 1 2 3 4

One, two ah dee ah four, two ah dee ah four, ah one two,,,, one two ah dee ah four.. One two,, dee four ah,, oh one two,,, one two ah dee ah four..



Say these thing over & over in your head until you get to basic training. When you get ther you'll understand. When you get there you'll learn the rythem.



Go in & don't quit after joining & don't get into trouble. Get your Hnorable discharge so you can keep your right to vote, get financial aid for college and keep your right to bear arms. If you get kicked out for any bad reason, you lose your rights like a felon & you definately don't want that.



It will get stressful at times but think about the get back when you stick through it until the end. Can you say free education and free money to go to school? Only after you're finished with your enlisment but they don't tell you that.



Sailors get kicked out all the time not knowing what they are losing, don't be one of them. Memorize the cadence.

Is there another recruiters office near you? If so,try to contact them and explain your situation and ask your questions-they should be able to answer them.

You may be able to go to Navy.com and look for a link to the recruit command center,this should let you ask your questions and get answers.

Things have changed since I went to boot camp.

Have any paper work you got from the recruiters handy to answer any questions they may ask you if you should make contact.

Don't sweat the 4 lbs.weight,you can work that off.

The avionics school you don't need to worry about until you get out of boot camp.

All the branches want recruits who have a regular diploma instead of a G.E.D.,but they do give waivers.

Your flat feet should be noted on any physical exams you have taken for the military if they asked you.

You will probably take another physical when you get to boot camp before you start any PT.,that would be the best place to get any changes to your health records corrected or you can ask a recruiter or the Navy's website.

Maybe you'll luck out and get a more recent recruit to answer your questions.

CJ, why would you get to go home? How much leave time do you think you earned? You will be packing your sea bag and heading across the street. After the pass and review you may not class up the next day so If your folks are around for that you will have a little time to hang out, but that is time permitting. You can forget the games until a-school. Leave your laptop at hope. With 4 days why haven't you talked to the recruiter instead of your clueless friend?
