My boyfriend of more than 2 years just left for basic training over a week ago. Will he get unwanted attention if I send him a lot of mail? Is there such thing as too much mail? So far I've written like 10 letters and will be sending them off today along with some pictures. Should I send the 10 letters separately or put them all together so it doesn't seem like I'm obsessive... What if I send one of those flat rate envelopes? Is there a limit to what size of envelope I can send? Do they receive mail everyday?

You can send as many as you want to and don't worry about bundling a bunch either. Even if you mailed one letter each day somehow it ends up the person will get seven one day and three the next, all together. This happened to me in basic and it happened to both my kids, one AF and the other Navy. I'd write three to four letters a week, they would get all four in one mail call. Weird but that's how it works out. So send all ten and then send one a day and I'll bet you'll get a letter back one day saying "Gee I just got five letters from you today" Even though you spaced them out days apart :)

Wow 2 years. Which military service is it? Well no "boot camp" training last more than a year but if you really luv him, then go for it. Its all up to you. It is something good to get a lot of attention and sometimes not good. There should be no size regulation for the envelope. From what I can remember from the Marine Corps, we got mail every day beside Sunday during training.

One of the best thing I could remember in basic training was getting mail from home.

When I went through a few years ago, we had to do 50 pushups for every letter we got. But that was at Ft Benning Infantry OSUT. But I will say, I was very happy to do those pushups. It feels great to recieve mail when youre in that situation. He'll end up reading every letter like 10 times anyway, so it will be worth it. So Id say send away.
