Okay, so I will be on terminal leave, I do not officially ETS out of the army until Aug 20 but my class begins on Aug 13. Can I still begin my school and still get the benefits from my post 911 GI bill by benefits I mean the BAH I am entitled to? Can someone please help! I still have to fill out the app for school and time is running out, will I be able to begin school? Or will I be screwed for 10 months until a new semester begins? Thanks

Yes, you can start school. But you can't collect BAH while on active duty, so even though you're on ETS leave, you won't be able to start collecting BAH from the GI Bill until the day after your ETS date.

not feasible to take or use Terminal leave after your DOS (Date of Separation) because of the fact you would be a Civilian back and not belong to the Air stress. maximum suitable to sell back 30-40 leave days which you have and use something as your Terminal leave. Terminal leave is used to make certain your final energetic accountability day earlier separation / retirement from the militia. once I separated from the Air stress, My DOS became in mid July and that i had like 50-60 days of leave accrued which I completely used. My final accountability day became sometime in could then I went on Terminal leave status that went as much as my DOS. I used most of the Terminal leave time to handle out processing / TMO shifting matters with the final numerous days used as holiday Time to return to my abode of checklist
