ive been writing my husband, hes in airforce basic training. so far no letter back from him. but i got a postcard with his address filled out on it. and today i got an envelope he filled out with information about his graduation. on the envelope his unit number is different from the unit number on the postcard. is there any reason his unit number wouldve changed? will he still get the letters ive sent?

If the Training Squadron number (ex 123 TRS) is the same but the Flight Unit Number (ex Flt 123)(on the envelope) is higher than the unit number on the postcard (Flt 099) - would probably mean that he got recycled back down to a lower level Week of Training (WOT) due to one reason or another. The Air Force prefers to retain their recycled recruits within thier original assigned Squadrons for accountability purposes - so your husband should have received any letters you have previously written (just use the latest mailing address that you received) for any future mailings

In Basic Training, there is very little "free time" for letter writing when other taskings take priority - probably reason for no letter back yet.
