Ok so this may seem really weird or crazy, but I gotta know what you all think so please give me answers and advice. =]

Ok so as you can see this is about sending my fiance a letter while he's deployed. He's been deployed for 4 months now. This is really gonna seem stupid, but I feel weird about this. Well I went to the post office today to get stamps, to send the letters. I looked at the stamps the guy come to find out gave me the stamps with the Purple Heart pin, Of course for the soldiers that get hurt. So my question is should I actually use them and send the letters with the stamps or not?

The reason I ask this question, Is I feel really weird about sending them because It makes it seem like I might end up jinxing him and I defiantly don't want to do that. I know It might be weird, but that's just my opinion. I really don't wanna use them stamps to send them.So please tell me what you all think. I know all in all it's my choice, but please tell me what you all think, If this would happen to you. Thanks! =]

If you all didn't get that - The question is: Should I use the stamps that they gave me with the Purple Heart to mail the letters with or get new stamps.

Well, to me, that is kind of bad karma.

Why not go to a philatelic (stamp) collector shop and find some commemorative stamps of US military heroes. Some cost little more than face value...and they don't carry the stigma of being wounded or being KIA.

Anyway, what is inside the letter is much more important than the stamp outside the letter.

You said it yourself in the end it's your choice. I think the only answer you're going to get here is exactly what you think. If you think it's going to jinx him then don't use that stamp. You already know the answer. Tell him good luck, god speed, and stay low.

My husband replace into in the army for 10 years. He suggested to ensure despite they promise you, GET IT IN WRITING. they are going to promise you the sky to get you to affix. He would desire to understand...he fell for it.
