I had a symbol drawn on my PT Belt, I was told it was unauthorized but cannot find anything on the specifics of the regulation.

Your PT belt is part of your uniform. You are not allowed to alter your uniform. I don't know where to find this in the Army regs, but it is a known fact along every branch. You can't just decide, I want to wear shorts today so I'll alter my pants.

Q. what is the symbol?

yea you never told us that part did ya.

so you are going to make me go through the entire PT manuel myself when you can buddy, when it is online and I am not going to waste my time for you...do your own homework SGT to be: http://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/pdf/r670_1.pdf

You will find the Reg. in section 14.

I am sorry to say this but I know what your SGT will say "Everyone dress right dress, and everyone does not have a batman symbol on their belt and so you are out of uniform. Everyone's uniform has to be the same...going back to basics, at basic training. Sorry.

You are wrong and accept it. It should be common sense that you don't draw symbols or anything else on a uniform that can be seen.

Learn how to accept criticism. A regulation is not needed to state common sense stuff or find the regulation where it states that you allowed to draw symbols on your uniforms. Move on.
