As a military history major, I love learning about battles. I also very much enjoy watching reenactments of historical battles in movies. What are some historical battles that you would like to see on the big screen that haven't been made yet? (Or perhaps remade) I personally would like to see some of the battles from the Peloponnesian War in ancient Greece or even see the battle of Leuctra where the Spartans were defeated by the Thebans. Also as a great admirer of the USMC, I would also like to see the battle of Belleau Wood during WWI as well. (How that may have looked like)

I'd like to see elements of the Battle of Leyte Gulf made into a movie. Specifically the battle off Samar, where Taffy 3 (a force of escort carriers, destroyers, and destroyer escorts) was engaged by the Japanese center force, and fought so hard that the Japanese thought they had encountered Halsey's Fleet carriers and a heavy cruiser escort. With proper treatment and character building, I think that could become a fantastic movie.

As a former Bubblehead, I think we could use another well made WWII submarine movie, maybe focusing on the exploits of the USS Barb, whose Sailors were the only US forces to come ashore on the Japanese home Islands during the war and engage the enemy. (They blew up a train way up north on Hokkaido.)

The movies are not accurate, they show Indians on horses when there were no horses in America, they were imported by the Spanish
