When ever i try to go onto ANY .mil website, Internet Explorer says that there is a security certificate error. I try to continue anyways but then it says that internet explorer can't display the webpage. I click on the diagnose connection problem button but it can never identify the problem.

I looked it up but everyone says to download some certificate software on a military website but this happens whenever i try to get on a .mil so i can't do that. Any other solutions would be great because i kinda have to do some online training.

In IE;

Control Panel

Internet Options

Advanced

Scroll down to Security

Make sure SSL 2.0 and 3.0 are checked

Make sure TSL 1.0 is checked

Click Apply

Then try the sites again, if still not working correctly then like others have said you need to download the certificates (dodroot3.p7b).

Because the military doesn't use commercial certificate authorities. Either download the DoD root certificate, or just have your web browser make an exception for every site you visit. If IE can't do that, get a real web browser from Mozilla or Google.

No, internet explorer can't do certificate exception. Opera, Chrome, or Firefox can. You can just access that site, then whenever the certificate screen loads up, you can just click add exception / approve whatever, OK.

Check the time on your computer, if the time is too far off, then that is why. You might also need to replace the battery that powers the bios because if it dies your computer can't keep track of time very well at all.
