Ok, i know the F stands for fighter but can anyone give me a list of the rest? I've seen it in a school textbook for earth and space science but i don't have it any more.

In the military the letters at the front of a vehicles name designates its job,

For example The F-16 stands for Fighter, B for Bobmber, A for Attack, T for Trainer, C for cargo, H for helicopter

I believe it stands for "fighter," and the "B," as in B-2, B-52, B-17, etc. stands for bomber.

AH = attack helicopter

UH = utilty helicopter

OV = observation vehicle
