Question:
Does Japan still use the Rising Sun flag?

I understand that the Rising Sun flag is considered to be very controversial, especially in countries that were under Imperialist rule (namely, China and Korea) but is in any way the Rising Sun flag still being used today? Or, a little more of a challenge: Will this flag be used in the future?

Answer both questions, if possible.

Thank you!

Japanese flag represents the sun.

Figure of sunrise is the simple deformation.

If you acknowledge the existence of Japan, please also acknowledge the Japanese flag and Rising Sun Flag as well.

Yes- that is a battle flag used by the Japanese military.

It was created because the standard Japanese flag can look a bit like a surrender flag unless it is flapping. Here are some photos of the self-defense force with it. mostly navy

Yes.

Japanese self-defence nevy uses it as Ensign.

I know that they do use the flag on the ships of their navy, I really don't know about the rest of SDF.
