Let me put it this way:

If you put 10 Americans and 10 Canadians in a bar, got them loaded (be it with Jack Daniels or Crown Royal), and them pitted them outside afterwards, the Canadians would win. That is, until the Americans called in their grotesquely expensive B-2 bombers...

You're mixing apples and oranges by comparing the USMC with JTF2. The USMC is trained (well or poorly is a matter of opinion) as infantry. JTF2 is a special operations organization patterned on the British SAS. Their role is not to function as infantry (although the vast majority of them have an infantry background) but rather as a counter-terrorism special operations unit.

A better question for comparative assessment would be "Who would win? A battalion of Canadian Infantry or a battalion of US Marines?

I'd pick the Canadians.

that is a ridiculous question. JTF2 is considered as well trained as 1st SFOD-D aka Delta force, and they work closely with them and Navy seal DEVGRU in afghanistan. Marines are pretty much just regular soldiers, maybe a bit more trained. JTF2 is a highly trained counter terrorist unit, they would be much more proficient in hand on hand, surgical shooting, hostage rescue and pretty much everything else. canadian special operations regiment, CSOR, would also be much more trained than an average marine. However, i am sure there are some marines that could be part of an elite special forces unit if they wanted to go that direction, but Jtf2 already has that training and have proved they they are a member of one of the most elite military units on the planet.

"In his book Enduring the Freedom, Sean M. Maloney reported that during operations in Afghanistan, Canada's JTF2 was the only foreign unit accepted to join American Tier 1 special operations units, such as 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force) and DEVGRU in Task Force 11 whose job it was to hunt high value Al Qaeda and Taliban personnel."

Yes, it's true - Canadians have better tactics, marines come up to train with our rangers and we help with your training. We don't need to defeat multiple countries at once because we already did it to you once - check the war of 1812 and what our drunkard of a Prime Minister at the time did to your White House (hint: did you know it wasn't always white)

... First of all, it doesn't matter at all because we're friends.

Secondly, just remember that numbers and tactics of infantry don't matter a whole lot when a bomber 2 miles above shows up.

JFT2 would win on training and tactics.

USMC is so poorly trained compared to many other country's REGULAR infantry.

I think you simply mean Canada vs USA.

Well, when was the last time Canada was in the news for defeating multiple countries at the same time? Is Canada a superpower?

NO?

Oh, well, US then.

Canada doesn't train American infantry....Fort Benning Georgia trains America infantry.....duh.

Stop sucking at life.

Against each other?

Well i'll answer through the ignorance of your question, the USMC wold win by far.

The Marines is a whole branch of the US Armed Services. They have about 180K active duty.

JTF2 has 600 members...

Sheer numbers would kill them.
