Question:
Why do people think that "Supporting the Troops" means sending them out to death?

And if you want to bring them home you are automatically labeled a traitor to your country. How did we come to live with this ridicule? With these fanatic extremists ideas?
I SUPPORT the troops- fathers, brothers, mothers, and sisters, by promoting peace in which they do not have to murder and die.

I understand that military enlisted are forbidden to speak out against the war, and that is also frigheting in the system.

Philosophy, politics and cynicism. It's a choppy lake to sail upon, but I suggest you continue questioning the standard answers. Perhaps you'll come to a solution the rest of us haven't.

Most of us are responders to events. X happens and we move to find the best answer in a very troubled world. With the exception of 911, America is a pretty safe place for the last 100 years or so. I suggest you read Night, by Elie Wiesel, a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. It's a small book I think you'll enjoy.

You're wrong however about the military being "forbidden" to speak out. One can and does. It's just that the military folks have resolved their questioning about the war, their position on politics, and have decided what needs to be done.

I am sure you know that no one is forced to join the military, therefore when a person makes the decision to join, they know full well that there is a good possibility they will be involved in war.

I support the troops, by respecting their decision to serve and am thankful for those who are willing to sacrifice, sometimes with their life, to defend our freedoms.

I know many people who are in the military, and not one of them has ever spoke against the decision to remove Saddam from power, or remove the Taliban from Afghanistan.

I find it disgusting when I hear people calling our troops baby killers,etc....The military has a job to do, and they do it well.

. War is ugly.... but sometimes necessary.

Pray for the troops, and never miss a chance to tell them..We support you and are grateful for your service to this country.

Evil can only survive, if good men do nothing.

I think it's pitiful that the only time that most of our nation seems to lend support to our Military is when they are away at war. Until the invasion of Iraq, you hardly seen any bumper sticker on the back of a car saying to support them, but now they're on just about every car! And certainly there weren't tons of websites designed to support them, but now those are all over the Internet. The Armed Forces and their families need support all the time, not just when our country is at war.

As far as anyone believe that supporting them means sending them off to war, I have never heard that before. I think people mean support them while they are fighting over there, even if you don't agree with the war. They can't just decide they don't want to go, even if they do disagree with what they're fighting for.

For all the free people that still protest, you're welcome,

We protect you and you are protected by the best.

Your voice is strong and loud, but who will fight for you?

No one standing in your crowd.

We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,

wearing the boots and carrying the guns.

We are the ones who leave all we own,

to make sure your future is carved in stone.

We are the ones who fight and die.

We might not be able to save the world, well at least we try.

We walked the paths to where we are at

and we want no choice other than that.

So when you rally your group to complain,

take a look in the back of your brain.

In order for that flag you love to fly,

wars must be fought and young men must die.

We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear,

if that's not respected, we would rather stay here.

So please stop yelling and put down your signs,

and pray for those behind enemy lines.

When the conflict is over and all is well,

be thankful that we chose to go through hell.

If you support the troops, you support what they are doing....

You don't have to support the politicians, they will turn on a dime.... for a dime.

As for peace.... that will NEVER exist with the radical Mooslum Islamo-facists.... they want everyone who is not an Islamic/Muslim DEAD. If you are not Islamic, you are UNclean.

There is nothing wrong with bringing the troops home or supporting that ideology..... AFTER they WIN the WAR against the Islamo-facists.... In the Islamo-facists own words.... "we are coming to your country to KILL you". That makes it very CLEAR, the war must be fought where the Islamo-facists breed, feed, get supported and housed..... if not there, the war will be HERE!

It is so simple and easy to understand, open thy eyes and ears. Believe what the enemy says, they do. They are butcherers, they cut people's heads OFF, those people die. Islamo-facists are so ignorant and radical that they KILL their own people.

For one thing they volunteer-- nobody forces them to go into the military. Another thing-- Just because someone "Supports the troops" doesnt mean that they are necessarily going to die. It's a possibility but it is never certain. You should be proud to be an American-- Be proud that you are in a country that protects its people at all costs!

Here is one for you. Statistically speaking, we lose fewer people in a combat zone than we do elsewhere. With training accidents and the like it is safer in a combat zone than training at home. We are not "sending them out to death", We are sending them to work. This is what they train for and do for a living.

Another thing is that if we brought the troops home now, with the job unfinished. The people that we do not want to come here will be able to come over here. I do not know if you are watching the news, but if you do not want what is going on over there to happen here, then support your troops and let them be where we have sent them. Support them finishing their task, then they will come home and our home will be safer for it.

We do not need sympathy for being sent to do our jobs. If you truly support the troops, support them by letting them do their jobs without supporting the terrorists. By all means, promote peace. This is what our Armed Forces is doing. By disabling those who want everyone that is not them dead the Army Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard is promoting peace.

How old are you? The people that join the military understand the risks involved. Yes, we all want them home, but they are doing what they do best. Let them do it. Your whining is only aiding the terrorist, making them bolder and killing more soldiers. So I say to all the cut and runners, quit killing our troops. And as a veteran you offend me with your thinking that it is okay to talk in regards to something you obviously know nothing about. The military is behind this action, and for you suggest otherwise is so very wrong and ill informed.

The United States troops need to stand tall. They are defending our country from a terrorist regime that would love to get their little hands on the USA. Would you prefer these terrorists hiding in your neighborhood. Do you think you would honestly be safe. People need to be educated what the terrorist groups ideology is. All they can see is the American soldier who is willing to take a chance with his life so his wife, child, mother, father,or other relative does not have to face these people in their own country. Support your troops.

i locate it exciting that no-one ever asks the folk in Dallas what it incredibly ability to assist the Cowboys. Does all people in Detroit ask your self what it incredibly ability to assist the pink Wings? and those are communities “offered and paid for” with the aid of the cities they symbolize and the only element on the line is community satisfaction. meanwhile, youthful dissenters everywhere in the rustic take a seat in poli-sci training and hear liberal “professors” pump the teeth-fairy sunshine up their skirts till they suspect they be responsive to extra suitable than the chief of the loose worldwide, and are qualified to Monday-morning-quarterback a war they discovered approximately from CNN, MSNBC, and national Public Radio. enable me to simplify progressively right here. You liberals attempt to maintain on with. there is protection in numbers. people form societies, then governments and finally international locations, for defense… protection in numbers. A u . s .’s protection is a manufactured from that u . s .’s potential to make war. That’s why each great u . s . in historic past has had a great militia. That’s why militaries and warriors are mandatory so elitist, lilywhite, idealist can take a seat securely of their residences and talk s**t on the subject of the very infrastructure that makes them loose. Make no mistake. This u . s . is unquestionably into it’s decline. like numerous different great u . s . in historic past, we’re now catering to the deviants, cowards and crybabies, which would be our undoing. Our militia is uninterested with being abused for the interest they do and the advent management with purely upload insult to harm. No sturdy deed ever is going unpunished! So all you “Bush lied, Cheney/Halliburton conspiracy, It’s on the subject of the oil” elitists available keep in mind your stand once you need to teach to Hillary Clinton, Rosie O’Donell and Sean Penn to come again and defend you. those of you who're GREATFUL on your freedom, who're no longer ALREADY SERVING, please proceed to assist the Troops!!!!!

Supporting the troops means you support them, whether they are sent to war, or in a peacetime. You shouldn't get to "choose" your support, either you do or you don't. You honor their service and their volunteerism. You honor them for being able to do what you're obviously NOT doing. Supporting the troops means honoring them and understanding what they're doing, even if you don't like it. Saying they are murdering isn't support, in a war, they do what they have to do.

Supporting your troops doesn't mean you want them to die. It means that you want them to come home safely. They put themselves out to protect their country. If you don't support them, and think they shouldn't be fighting the war in Iraq, maybe you'd reconsider that when terrorists knock on your door at home. We all miss loved ones and pray that they'll come home safely... but it doesn't mean that you think them being there is purposeless. They're there to protect us-- so yeah... you should support them.

Because the troops see right through your false claims of 'supporting' us.

We recognize that the only thing you support is your political opinions.

If you really support us - you would let us finish what we are doing. (And be honest enough with yourself to admit that the majority of the troops do support what we are doing.)

The purpose of the Army is to fight wars, and to win! As for the protestors, i have a baseball bat in my back seat with your names on it!!! I say again last transmission, cry about your own jobs!!! Consider that they volunteer THEMSELVES to be "sent out to death". That is very respectable and is worthy of our support.
