I was just wondering if you were to bend the truth at meps to keep something on your medical record concealed to prevent an automatic DQ. Should you tell the truth on the sf 86 security clearance forms because they do a thorough background investigation and will find out if you lied about anything? So can someone clarify this process. So its lie at MEPs and Tell the truth when you file for a security clearance or what? Finally does MEPs cross-reference with the investigators who process security clearances?

it depends what level of clearance you are attempting to obtain. if it is just a basic "secret" clearance you will be fine. If you are trying to get "top secret" or " T/S SCI" you might be in trouble. for those investigations they dig really deep.

YES! you do your initial Sf 86 at meps anyway. They have acess to your military records regardless, you shouldn't have lied to begin with. No one wants a liar in the military, espcially giving one a clearence.

i would not point out it to them. It improve into over a year in the past and maximum persons have tried drugs till now starting to be to be a member of any branch of provider, they do no longer could desire to be attentive to what you probably did once you have been youthful as long as you're sparkling now. as that's fairly difficult to get into the provider maximum appropriate now i might basically bypass on the form you're doing it and not reason any suspicion to your self. If it would not arise on your drug attempt you're fantastic, and that they are going to be sorting out you lots for drugs in any case fairly in boot camp.

You don't like at MEPS unless you would like to be potentially imprisoned.
